ENA Sectors 2025-02-10 16:57:31 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Bengaluru, Feb 10 (KNN)</strong> The highly anticipated 15th edition of Aero India, touted as Asias largest aerospace and defence exhibition, is set to commence on February 10 at the Yelahanka Air Force Station.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Themed The Runway to a Billion Opportunities, this years event promises to be the biggest-ever, spanning over 42,000 sq. meters and featuring participation from more than 900 exhibitors, including 150 foreign companies.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the participation of over 90 countries as a testament to Indias growing global stature in the aerospace and defence sectors.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He confirmed that defence ministers or representatives from about 30 countries, along with air chiefs and secretaries from 43 nations, will be attending, underscoring the events international significance.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Singh emphasised Aero Indias role in advancing Indias self-reliance in defence, stating, Aero India is a platform that showcases the strength, resilience, and self-reliance of New India. It is crucial not just for Indias defence preparedness but also for shaping global partnerships and collaborations.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Highlighting Indias progress in aerospace and defence manufacturing, Singh noted that platforms like the Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Light Combat Helicopter Prachand, and C-295 Transport Aircraft are now being produced domestically.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">India is also set to manufacture fifth-generation fighter aircraft, alongside advancements in missile systems such as Agni, Astra, and Pinaka.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Defence Minister projected a record rise in defence production to Rs 1.60 lakh crore by 2025-26, with defence exports expected to surpass Rs 30,000 crore.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He affirmed that Aero India serves as a catalyst for economic growth, fostering innovation, job creation, and technological advancements in both defence and civilian sectors.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The event, running from February 10 to 14, will dedicate February 10-12 to business engagements, while February 13-14 will be open to the public.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The India Pavilion will serve as a showcase of indigenous defence innovation, featuring over 275 exhibits spanning aerospace, land, and naval aviation, def-space, and niche technologies.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Aero India 2025 is poised to mark a significant milestone in Indias journey towards becoming a global aerospace and defence powerhouse, reinforcing its vision of a secure, self-reliant, and technologically advanced nation.</span></p> <p><em><strong><span style="font-size:14px">(KNN Bureau)</span></strong></em></p> 41014 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/sectors/bengaluru-hosts-aero-india-2025-with-focus-on-self-reliance-and-innovation 2025-02-10 16:57:31 knnindia.co.in
