ENA Sectors 2025-02-19 14:11:09 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Feb 19 (KNN)</strong> The 14th edition of Source India Electronics Supply Chain 2025 commenced Tuesday at the Chennai Trade Centre, marking a significant gathering of electronics industry stakeholders.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The event, organised by the Electronics Industries Association of India (ELCINA), has attracted over 150 exhibitors and approximately 4,000 delegates and visitors, including international participation from Taiwan, Singapore, Russia, and Japan.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Rajaa emphasised the state's remarkable progress in electronics manufacturing during the inauguration.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He highlighted the state's achievement of Zero Defect Manufacturing at zero-parts-per-billion levels in several sectors, surpassing the industry standard of zero-defects-per-million.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The minister also noted the significant advancement in workforce diversity, with women's participation reaching 70-80 per cent in certain electronics manufacturing facilities across the state.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The state government has set an ambitious target to increase its electronics manufacturing output to USD 100 billion, a substantial increase from the current USD 12 billion.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">This goal aligns with India's broader electronics industry growth, which has demonstrated remarkable progress over the past eight years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">National electronics production has tripled from USD 37 billion in 2015-16 to exceed USD 115 billion in 2023-24, while exports have reached USD 29 billion.
