ENA Sectors 2025-03-05 14:58:28 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Mar 5 (KNN)</strong> Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare is set to contribute significantly to Indias economy, with an estimated impact of USD 25-30 billion on GDP by 2025.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">A report by Deloitte highlights AIs role in improving accessibility, diagnostics, and treatment outcomes across the nation.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Government-backed initiatives such as the IndiaAI Mission and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 are fostering a digitally empowered healthcare ecosystem.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">These measures aim to ensure responsible AI integration while enhancing data security, thereby supporting the sectors growth.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">According to the report, titled Digital Healthcare - Top 10 Myths Debunked Digital Health &amp; AI, AI adoption in healthcare has exceeded 40 per cent, outpacing industries like FMCG (30 per cent) and manufacturing (25 per cent).</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The study underscores how AI-powered diagnostics, MedTech innovations, and digital health records are revolutionizing patient care in India.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Joydeep Ghosh, Deloitte Indias Life Sciences and Health Care Industry Leader, emphasised that Indias digital healthcare sector is evolving rapidly.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He noted that the countrys exports of surgical consumables and disposables reached USD 1.6 billion in FY 2022-23, reflecting its expanding footprint in the global healthcare market.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Despite these advancements, challenges remain.
