ENA Global 2025-03-19 15:27:47 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Mar 19 (KNN)</strong> Singapore and India are set to enhance maritime collaboration by exploring the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) for a Green Digital Shipping Corridor (GDSC).</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">This initiative aims to integrate India's maritime sector with the global shipping network through Singapore's established maritime ecosystem.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The LoI is expected to be signed during Indian Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal's visit to Singapore next week.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Sonowal, Minister of Port, Shipping, and Waterways, will lead a delegation to the Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) from March 24 to 28.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The event, hosted by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), will bring together key maritime leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"> We are thinking of establishing a letter of intent with India as a start. It is something we are still working towards, said Teo Eng Dih, Chief Executive of MPA. While the LoI is anticipated to be signed during SMW, final details are yet to be confirmed.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">India is keen to export green fuels, including biofuels, to the region and share its digital expertise. The proposed GDSC will enhance sustainable maritime trade practices while strengthening connectivity between India and global markets.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The SMW will also host maritime ministers from Estonia, France, Portugal, Norway, and the Netherlands.
