Bengaluru Tech Firms to Expand Business in Chhattisgarh

ENA State 2025-03-28 14:07:02 Bengaluru, Mar 28 (KNN) Several leading tech companies from Bengaluru have expressed interest in expanding their businesses to Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai engaged with top industrialists at the Chhattisgarh Investors Meet, resulting in investment proposals worth Rs 3,700 crore across multiple sectors, including IT, electronics, textiles, and green fuel. Prominent corporations such as BEML, NASSCOM, Gokaldas Exports, Britannia, and TiE Bangalore lauded Chhattisgarhs pro-industry policies and infrastructure. The Chhattisgarh government also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NASSCOM, India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), and TiE Bangalore to boost IT, semiconductor, and startup ecosystems. GPSR Arya Pvt. Ltd. has announced an investment of Rs 1,350 crore in the CBG Green Fuel sector, promoting biogas and green energy production. Klene Paks is set to invest Rs 500 crore in the textile industry, which will enhance manufacturing capacity and create new employment opportunities. Britannia has committed Rs 200 crore to the food processing sector, a move that is expected to benefit local farmers and small entrepreneurs. Keynes Technology will invest Rs 1,000 crore in IT/ITES, aiming to strengthen Chhattisgarhs IT sector and generate large-scale employment. Additionally, Gokaldas Exports and SRV Knit Tech Pvt. Ltd. will each invest Rs 100 crore in the textile industry, further strengthening this sector within the state. Ashok Chandak, President of IESA, emphasized Chhattisgarhs attractive policies, tax incentives, and infrastructure development for the electronics and semiconductor sector. Chief Minister Sai assured investors of a seamless, digitalised approval process and special incentives under the Make in India and Digital India campaigns. The states new industrial policy simplifies business approvals, offering tax benefits, capital investment reimbursements ranging from 30-50%, and employment-linked incentives. Special incentives are also being provided for emerging sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, computing, and green hydrogen. With Raipur emerging as Central Indias IT hub and Nava Raipurs Greenfield city providing world-class infrastructure, Chhattisgarh is poised to become an industrial powerhouse. The government is also boosting tourism in Bastar, with enhanced connectivity and infrastructure to promote investment in the region. The conference saw participation from key officials, reinforcing Chhattisgarhs commitment to industrial expansion and economic growth.
