ENA Sectors 2025-05-22 16:53:37 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, May 22 (KNN)</strong> The successful execution of Operation Sindoor has opened new avenues for Indias domestic drone industry.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">With increasing reliance on drones by the Indian Armed Forces and Defence Ministry, indigenous drone manufacturers are likely to receive orders worth up to Rs 4,000 crore in the near future.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Operation Sindhur demonstrated the strategic importance and effectiveness of drones, prompting the military and defence departments to actively engage with local companies for procurement.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Over 70 companies are set to participate in demonstrations scheduled for May 26, showcasing various drone technologies to defence officials.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Currently, Indias drone sector is valued at USD 2.7 billion, and projections suggest it will reach USD 13 billion by 2030.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Encouraged by government initiatives and growing demand, domestic drone production is expanding rapidly. Industry experts believe the sector will witness strong growth in the coming years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Speaking about the development, Deepak Bhardwaj, Director at a leading drone manufacturer, noted, Post Operation Sindoor, the defence sector has shown keen interest in local drone technologies. Our company has also ramped up production capacity to meet this demand.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">According to Simran Shah, a senior executive in the industry, 12 24 companies may secure substantial orders from the armed forces. This initiative will energise the Indian drone ecosystem and pave the way for more technological innovation, she added.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">In a positive endorsement, the Drone Federation of India stated, This is a defining moment for the Indian drone sector. The confidence shown by the armed forces highlights the growing global competitiveness of our domestic industry.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Beyond defence, drones are also gaining traction in sectors like agriculture, mining, and logistics.
