ENA Sectors 2025-06-11 18:00:55 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Greater Noida, Jun 11 (KNN)</strong> The Yamuna Expressway Authority is opening new avenues for farmers by allowing them to set up industrial units in their own villages. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The proposal, to be presented at the upcoming board meeting on June 18, aims to empower farmers by letting them utilize their land for businesses.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Under this initiative, the Authority will allot one acre of land per person fr0m notified villages for industrial use. Initially, five villages per development phase will be selected. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The proposal aims to involve farmers in the industrial growth of the region by giving them permission to establish units on their own land, with access to all basic infrastructure.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Farmers fr0m Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura, and Agra &mdash; which together account for 923 notified villages &mdash; stand to benefit. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Although purchasing land is allowed, reselling it for non-industrial purposes is prohibited to ensure the land is used productively.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">YEIDA CEO Dr. Arunveer Singh stated that the board is likely to approve the proposal, which will create a bridge between agriculture and industry. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Farmers will be able to apply for land allocation and set up industries aligned with the Authority's plans.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The development of Phase 1 in Gautam Buddh Nagar and Bulandshahr is already underway, while the other four phases are pending. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">This delay is impacting the remaining notified villages.
