ENA State 2025-06-16 14:53:00 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Gandhinagar, Jun 16 (KNN)</strong> The Gujarat government is facilitating residential and infrastructure development to support Tata Groups Rs 91,000 crore semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Ahmedabad district&mdash;Indias first such venture. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The project, located within the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), is expected to generate over 20,000 skilled jobs, both direct and indirect.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As part of these efforts, construction is underway for 1,500 residential units intended for expatriates, Tata Group staff, and vendor personnel. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">According to Mona Khandhar, Principal Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Gujarat, 275 apartments have already been made available, with around 250 occupied by Tata teams and allied ecosystem companies. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">An additional 225 units are nearing completion, while construction on 1,000 more units is in progress and expected to conclude by February March 2026.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">These serviced accommodations offer one, two, and three-bedroom configurations and are situated near the fab site to house teams currently stationed in Dholera, said Khandhar, as reported by The Economic Times.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">While the Gujarat government is playing a key facilitative role, the housing developments themselves are not directly funded or built by the state. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Instead, private developers are executing the projects on plots auctioned through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up by the government. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">These developments are separate from the residential units that Tata Group plans to build independently.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">In its initial phase, Tata has been allotted 10 acres, with plans to construct 530 apartments by mid-2027.
