ENA State 2025-07-23 14:29:07 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Lucknow, Jul 23 (KNN) </strong>The Uttar Pradesh government's cabinet approved the establishment of Tata Technology Excellence Centres in partnership with Tata Technology Limited across 121 government polytechnic institutions on Tuesday.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The initiative aims to modernise technical education facilities and address gaps between industrial requirements and current academic curriculum in diploma-level technical education.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The project addresses concern that several course offerings at polytechnic institutions have become outdated or misaligned with contemporary industrial demands.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The centres are designed to modernise curriculum content and bridge existing educational gaps to better prepare students for current market needs.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The total project cost amounts to Rs 6,935.8 crore, with Tata Technology Limited contributing 87 percent of the funding at Rs 6,034.2 crore.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Uttar Pradesh government will provide the remaining 13 percent, totalling Rs 1,063.9 crore. Additionally, Rs 57.3 crore will be allocated for the installation of machinery and equipment across each of the 121 polytechnic institutions.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Uttar Pradesh government will invest an additional Rs 858 crore toward civil infrastructure and basic facilities, with Rs 709.2 lakh designated per institution.
