ENA Sectors 2025-08-04 17:15:59 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Aug 4 (KNN)</strong> The Union Ministry of Power has recently introduced the Assistance in Deploying Energy Efficient Technologies in Industries and Establishments (ADEETIE) scheme, with a government allocation of Rs 1,000 crore. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As part of the initiative, West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh has been selected for the schemes broader implementation, while both East and West Godavari districts have been identified for focused participation in the glass refractory sector.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Spearheaded by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), the scheme is expected to catalyse investments exceeding Rs 9,000 crore through a combination of government support and industry participation. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The initiative is positioned as a critical step in achieving Indias long-term climate, sustainability, and net-zero goals.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The scheme earmarks Rs 875 crore as interest subvention to enable concessional financing for MSMEs seeking to upgrade their technology for energy efficiency. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">An additional Rs 50 crore has been allocated for implementation, capacity-building, and awareness programmes. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The support covers the full project cycle&mdash;fr0m investment-grade energy audits and detailed project reports to financing assistance and performance verification.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As part of the national rollout, Andhra Pradeshs West Godavari district has been selected for the overall scheme, while both East and West Godavari districts have been identified for the glass refractory sector. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The programme is being operationalised across 60 industrial clusters and 14 energy-intensive sectors, including textiles, foundries, food processing, and chemicals, using a phased, cluster-specific approach.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power and Director General, BEE, Akash Tripathi, called ADEETIE a major boon for the MSME sector. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">We urge all states to capitalise on this opportunity fr0m the very beginning to ensure the schemes success and maximise benefits for their industries, he said.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Milind Deore, Secretary, BEE, underlined the critical role of state-designated agencies (SDAs) in outreach, stakeholder engagement, and handholding. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">By working closely with MSMEs and supporting them through the entire process, states can ensure their industries become globally competitive, sustainable, and environmentally responsible, he said.</span></p> <p><em><strong><span style="font-size:14px">(KNN Bureau)</span></strong></em></p> 43056 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/sectors/power-ministry-launches-rs-1000-cr-adeetie-scheme-to-boost-msme-energy-efficiency-advance-climate-goals 2025-08-04 17:15:59 knnindia.co.in
