ENA Sectors 2025-08-25 17:44:59 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Aug 25 (KNN)</strong> Speaking at the ET World Leaders Forum 2025 on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi announced that India is poised to achieve a significant milestone by exporting electric vehicles (EVs) to 100 countries.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Highlighting the importance of research as a foundation of national progress, Modi said that while imported research might suffice for survival, it cannot meet Indias long-term aspirations. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He stressed the need for urgency, focus, and government-backed initiatives in advancing domestic research and innovation.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Reflecting on the transformation of Indias automobile sector, the Prime Minister noted that exports had grown from around Rs 50,000 crore in 2014 to Rs 1.2 lakh crore annually. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He pointed out that India has moved beyond exporting cars to also supplying metro coaches, rail coaches, and locomotives. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">India is now going to export electric vehicles to 100 countries of the world.
