ENA Sectors 2025-08-26 16:04:26 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Aug 26 (KNN)</strong> The Indian government has reduced the minimum export price (MEP) for natural honey from USD 2,000 per tonne to USD 1,400 per tonne, effective immediately through December 31, 2025. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The revision was announced through a notification issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Under the current export regulations, shipments of natural honey below the established minimum export price are prohibited. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The MEP mechanism was originally introduced in March 2024 as a regulatory measure for honey exports.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">India's primary markets for honey exports include the United States, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
