ENA State 2025-09-16 16:18:38 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Dhar, Sep 16 (KNN)</strong> In a major boost to Indias textile sector, over 114 textile and apparel manufacturers from Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Gujarat, and Rajasthan have pledged investments exceeding Rs 23,000 crore in the countrys first PM Mega Integrated Textile and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park, coming up in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The park will be inaugurated by Narendra Modi on September 17, coinciding with his birthday.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Industry players see the states strategic location, strong cotton production base, and supportive industrial climate as crucial advantages that can help overcome global trade challenges and boost both domestic manufacturing and exports.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">They believe the parks world-class infrastructure will streamline supply chains, reduce logistics costs, and enable faster delivery to markets.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Among the major investors, Rajkumar Ramasamy, Managing Director of a Tamil Nadu-based textile company, plans to invest Rs 981 crore to establish an integrated unit at the park.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The favourable industrial climate in Madhya Pradesh and our successful pilot project in Ujjain made this an attractive opportunity. Access to raw materials and business-friendly policies gives us confidence about future growth, he said.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Similarly, Sanjay Agrawal, Managing Director of an Indore-based textile firm, is investing Rs 472 crore. He believes recent high United States tariffs are temporary hurdles.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Operating from PM MITRA will give us a sustainable tag and open new eco-conscious markets.
