AP To Deploy Five Business Development Providers in Each of 175 Assembly Constituencies

ENA State 2025-09-18 17:12:57 Amaravati, Sep 18 (KNN) MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas asserted that the state government is committed to nurturing entrepreneurship at the grassroots level, with the vision of creating One Family, One Entrepreneur in every household. He was speaking at the Business Development Service (BDS) Certificate Distribution Programme held at ALEAP Industrial Estate, Surampalli, on Wednesday. APMSMEDC, the state implementing agency for the RAMP scheme, has partnered with ALEAP to train and empanel 1,200 BDS providers. Under this initiative, five BDS providers will be positioned in each of the 175 Assembly constituencies to ensure last-mile support for MSMEs. Highlighting the pivotal role of the MSME sector in driving inclusive growth, the minister said business development service providers will serve as a crucial link in handholding entrepreneurs. BDS providers must extend technical guidance, advisory services, and market linkages to strengthen small businesses across Andhra Pradesh, he noted. At the event, certificates were awarded to 53 trained BDS providers under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme. The minister also released the business development service providers training manual, designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and tools to guide aspiring entrepreneurs. The minister lauded ALEAPs efforts in establishing a women-led industrial estate at Kuppam and proposed a similar estate in Vizianagaram to promote enterprises in North Andhra. Such estates will not only boost local economies but also inspire more women and youth to step into entrepreneurship, he added. A key highlight of the event was the signing of an MoU between SERP and ALEAP to promote rural entrepreneurship. The collaboration aims to leverage ALEAPs business expertise and SERPs extensive rural network to enable self-help groups (SHGs) and rural enterprises to access technical knowledge, capacity-building programmes, and market linkages. The minister reiterated that empowering households through entrepreneurship will not only generate livelihoods but also strengthen economic resilience and self-reliance across Andhra Pradesh. Our mission is to make entrepreneurship a culture in every home, he declared, urging the newly trained BDS providers to take this vision forward. Kondapalli noted that ALEAP (Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh) has been providing its services for over 30 years, establishing green industrial parks and Fab Cell Centers to offer self-employment opportunities for women. ALEAP is working in alignment with the vision of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who strives to create an entrepreneur from every household, he said.
