ENA Economy 2025-09-25 17:18:23 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Sep 25 (KNN)</strong> A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Ministry of Labour &amp; Employment and Zepto to enhance employment opportunities and improve youth employability through the National Career Service (NCS) portal.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Addressing the ceremony, Minister for Labour &amp; Employment and Youth Affairs &amp; Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, said, The National Career Service (NCS) platform has emerged as a unique bridge between employers and job-seekers. With over 52 lakh registered employers and nearly 7.5 crore vacancies mobilised since its inception, NCS has positioned itself as a one-stop solution for all employment-related services.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Minister added that upcoming enhancements using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced digital tools are expected to further help job-seekers identify opportunities suited to their locations and qualifications.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The partnership with Zepto is expected to create a structured pipeline of urban employment opportunities, particularly for youth, women, and first-time job-seekers.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Zepto will contribute 10,000 job postings during the tenure of the MoU, integrating gig and full-time roles with the governments employment and skilling ecosystem.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Vandana Gurnani, Secretary, Ministry of Labour &amp; Employment, emphasised that the collaboration would support formalisation and social security coverage, while generating secure, long-term, and quality employment.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Kaivalya Vohra, Co-founder, Zepto, said, We are proud to partner with the Ministry of Labour &amp; Employment to integrate with the NCS portal. This collaboration is a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and skilled workforce for the new-age economy.
