ENA State 2025-09-26 17:42:30 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Jaipur, Sep 26 (KNN)</strong> Prime Minister Modi on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth over Rs 1,22,100 crore in Banswara, Rajasthan. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The projects span key sectors including energy, water resources, transport, health, and employment. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">A major highlight was the launch of power sector initiatives exceeding Rs 90,000 crore across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">These include the Rs 42,000 crore Mahi Banswara Atomic Power Project, which will house four indigenous 700 MW Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors, forming part of Indias fleet mode nuclear expansion. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Solar energy projects in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, worth over Rs 19,000 crore, and power transmission initiatives under the Renewable Energy Zone were also launched, aimed at strengthening Indias clean energy capacity and grid stability.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Prime Minister inaugurated feeder-level solarisation projects worth Rs 16,050 crore under the PM-KUSUM scheme, expected to benefit lakhs of farmers with affordable irrigation power. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Water resource projects worth Rs 20,830 crore, including reservoirs, lift projects, and canal rejuvenation, were announced along with drinking water supply works worth Rs 5,880 crore under AMRUT 2.0.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">In the transport sector, Modi laid the foundation stone for road projects valued at Rs 2,630 crore, including flyovers, bridges, and 116 Atal Pragati Path projects. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He also inaugurated new healthcare and urban infrastructure facilities, including a 250-bed hospital in Bharatpur, an IT and e-governance centre in Jaipur, and multiple sewerage and water supply projects. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Rail connectivity was enhanced with the flagging off of three trains&mdash;two Vande Bharat Express services linking Rajasthan to Delhi and the Udaipur Chandigarh Express.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Alongside infrastructure projects, over 15,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly recruited youth in government departments and organisations in Rajasthan, covering roles such as animal attendants, junior assistants, engineers, instructors, and teachers.</span></p> <p><em><strong><span style="font-size:14px">(KNN Bureau)</span></strong></em></p> 43641 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/rs-122-lakh-cr-development-projects-launched-across-key-sectors-in-rajasthan 2025-09-26 17:42:30 knnindia.co.in
