ENA State 2025-10-30 17:58:05 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Bhopal, Oct 30 (KNN)</strong> The Government e Marketplace (GeM) and the Government of Madhya Pradesh have agreed to enhance cooperation to accelerate the States adoption and utilization of the GeM platform for public procurement.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">In Bhopal, GeM CEO Mihir Kumar and Chief Secretary Anurag Jain discussed ways to strengthen Madhya Pradeshs procurement framework by enhancing transparency, inclusivity, and efficiency.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) from Madhya Pradesh have received orders worth Rs 5,523 crore from State buyers, Rs 2,030 crore from other States, and Rs 20,298 crore from Central buyers, reflecting the States strong integration into the national procurement ecosystem.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The meeting reaffirmed GeMs mission to provide a unified, transparent, and technology-driven procurement system for Central and State entities, PSUs, and local bodies.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As part of its national strategy, GeM has intensified engagement with high-GMV States through senior-level meetings</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has also written to Chief Ministers urging alignment of State procurement rules with the General Financial Rules (GFR) and GeM General Terms and Conditions (GeM-GTC), and to the Home Affairs Ministry for ensuring procurement in Union Territories is routed through GeM.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Madhya Pradeshs participation in GeM continues to grow, with over 86,000 registered sellers from the State.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As GeMs cumulative Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) reaches record levels, its collaboration with Madhya Pradesh marks another step toward a more transparent, inclusive, and competitive public procurement system.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">GeM reiterated its commitment to empowering small and emerging enterprises by fostering fairness, digital integrity, and equal opportunities across Indias public procurement landscape.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><em><strong>(KNN Bureau)</strong></em></span></p> 43940 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/madhya-pradesh-fast-tracks-gem-procurement-adoption-as-mses-receive-rs-27851-cr-in-orders 2025-10-30 17:58:05 knnindia.co.in
