ENA State 2025-11-03 17:28:56 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Puducherry, Nov 3 (KNN)</strong> The first International Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) hosted by the Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation (PIPDIC) under the RAMP scheme concluded recently with the signing of 50 Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) valued at over Rs 15 crore. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Organised in partnership with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), the two-day event generated significant export opportunities for local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The meet drew 25 international buyers from 16 countries, including the UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada, South Africa, the UAE, Spain, Vietnam and Mauritius. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Over 320 MSMEs from Puducherry participated, holding more than 500 scheduled one-on-one meetings with global buyers. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As a result of these business engagements, Puducherry-based firms are expected to tap markets including Australia, the UAE, Vietnam, Mauritius and the UK, across sectors such as textiles, food processing, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and engineering goods, according to The Hindu.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">In addition to trade interactions, the event featured technical sessions on export procedures and global market standards, aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with the knowledge to scale their businesses internationally. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Organisers noted that many MSMEs previously lacked avenues to connect with overseas buyers, and the meet helped bridge this gap.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">PIPDIC said the RBSM reinforces Puducherrys growing role in MSME-driven exports by providing local enterprises with a platform to access global markets and boosting regional export volumes and value. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The corporation expects the initiative to strengthen export-linked growth while leveraging the logistics potential of Puducherry and Karaikal ports.</span></p> <p><em><strong><span style="font-size:14px">(KNN Bureau)</span></strong></em></p> 43972 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/rs-15-cr-mous-signed-at-puducherry-reverse-buyer-seller-meet-to-boost-msme-exports 2025-11-03 17:28:56 knnindia.co.in
