ENA State 2025-11-10 17:39:56 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Nov 10 (KNN)</strong> The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development projects worth over ₹8,140 crore, including the inauguration of projects worth over ₹930 crore and the foundation stone laying of projects worth over ₹7,210 crore.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">These projects cater to several key sectors, including drinking water, irrigation, technical education, energy, urban development, sports, and skill development.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Prime Minister also released a support amount of ₹62 crore to more than 28,000 farmers, directly credited into their bank accounts under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, during the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Uttarakhands formation in Dehradun on Sunday.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Before the event, the Prime Minister visited an exhibition showcasing Uttarakhands 25-year journey of transformation across sectors such as infrastructure, education, industry, tourism, and rural development. He noted that the states budget has surged from ₹4,000 crore to over ₹1 lakh crore, with major growth in energy, connectivity, and industrial output.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Emphasizing the governments focus on entrepreneurship and technology, the Prime Minister praised the states initiative to provide subsidies to apple and kiwi farmers in digital currency, calling it a milestone in transparent financial assistance. He commended the state government, RBI, and other stakeholders for enabling digital innovation in agriculture and rural finance.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Highlighting the potential of MSMEs, the Prime Minister underscored the need to strengthen small and medium enterprises in food processing, handicrafts, and organic products, which hold immense promise for Uttarakhands local economy. He pointed out that improved connectivity, including ongoing projects like the Rishikesh Karnaprayag rail line and Delhi Dehradun Expressway, will unlock new opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs across the hill districts.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Prime Minister also lauded the growing ecosystem of local brands, noting that initiatives such as House of Himalayas are giving Uttarakhands products a unified identity in national and global markets. He highlighted that 15 agricultural products from the state have received Geographical Indication (GI) tags, including the Bedu fruit and Badri cow ghee, strengthening the Vocal for Local movement and creating export potential for small producers.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Referring to Uttarakhands expanding presence in sectors like wellness tourism, film production, and winter tourism, he said these industries offer new avenues for MSMEs in hospitality, crafts, and services. He called on entrepreneurs to leverage local resources and innovation to build a self-reliant, opportunity-driven Uttarakhand aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.)
