ENA Global 2025-11-10 17:43:40 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Nov 10 (KNN)</strong> To strengthen bilateral trade and cooperation, President of India Droupadi Murmu visited Angola and Botswana.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">During the visit, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged on cooperation in fisheries, aquaculture, marine resources, and consular matters.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">This marks the first visit by an Indian President to Angola. President Murmu is accompanied by Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Railways V. Somanna and Members of Parliament Parbhubhai Nagarbhai Vasava and D. K. Aruna.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">On Sunday, the Presidents engagements began at the Presidential Palace in Luanda, where she was warmly received by President Jo&atilde;o Manuel Gon&ccedil;alves Louren&ccedil;o of Angola. She was accorded a ceremonial welcome and guard of honour. During one-to-one and delegation-level meetings, the two leaders discussed wide-ranging issues concerning bilateral relations.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">President Murmu highlighted that the partnership between India and Angola is built on mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision for prosperity. She expressed appreciation for Angolas developmental initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of its people.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The President also emphasized the thriving energy trade partnership between the two nations, noting Angolas critical role in Indias energy security. Both leaders agreed to further diversify trade and investment ties across emerging sectors, including technology, agriculture, health, defence, infrastructure, and people-to-people exchanges.
