ENA Economy 2025-11-19 16:05:08 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Nov 19 (KNN)</strong> Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today said the governments performance has evolved from Virasat to Vikas and then Vishwaas, noting that a politics rooted in trust is propelling India toward the goal of becoming a developed nation. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Goyal also outlined five expectations from industry bodies, calling for closer audits of advocacy outcomes, setting more ambitious goals, studying global models such as those of Korea and Sweden, mentoring future generations and expanding outreach beyond major cities to support businesses in remote regions. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He noted, Industry bodies should not remain confined to elite business circles but must widen their engagement to support growth across the country. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He was addressing the Curtain Raiser of FICCIs 98th Annual General Meeting and Annual Convention, themed India: Self-Reliant Economic Powerhouse.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Goyal said the government has taken successive steps to simplify the legal framework for businesses, including two editions of the Jan Vishwas Bill, with a third version prepared to further decriminalise provisions across various laws. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Minister outlined four key dimensions for achieving Viksit Bharat: developing India into a domestic industrial manufacturing hub focused on quality, strengthening skill development among youth, fostering an investment-friendly ecosystem, and adopting cutting-edge technologies.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He also urged the industry to adopt a more ambitious and proactive approach to drive Indias growth. Set bold targets. We cannot be satisfied with incremental growth&mdash;we need to venture beyond the ordinary.
