ENA Global 2025-12-12 14:02:13 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Mumbai, Dec 12 (KNN)</strong> Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal chaired the India Italy Business Forum with Italian Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">This marked a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral economic ties and expanding industrial cooperation between the two nations.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>High-Level Bilateral Talks on Trade and Technology</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The discussions focused on enhancing trade, improving supply chain resilience, and accelerating partnerships in clean mobility, green energy, advanced manufacturing, and food processing. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Both sides emphasised scaling technology collaborations and creating new investment pathways.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Sectoral Discussion and Startup Engagements</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Forum featured discussion on emerging technologies, innovation models, and investment opportunities across automotives, waste-to-energy and renewables, sports technologies and sports textiles, and agri-food.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Ministers also interacted with leading Indian unicorns to explore cooperation in digital innovation, AI, deeptech, fintech, and industrial technology solutions.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>B2B Interactions Held</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">A large-scale B2B networking session facilitated more than 100 business interactions between Indian and Italian companies in manufacturing, renewables, food processing, sports innovation, and transport systems.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Major MoUs and Industrial Agreements Announced</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Several important MoUs were signed at the forum. SIMEST and Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) signed a strategic MoU to enhance support for Italian companies expanding into India, promote bilateral investments, and strengthen economic cooperation through structured business facilitation. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Italys Danieli Group concluded agreements for three major steel plant projects. Danieli will supply advanced green technologies.
