Since 2017, the government has traditionally presented the budget at 11 am on February 1, a shift from the earlier practice of presenting it on February 28. This year, February 1 coincides with Guru Ravidas Jayanti, a restricted holiday, meaning government offices and stock markets will remain closed. According to the TOI, sources indicate that the Economic Survey is expected to be tabled on January 29, followed by holidays on January 30 and 31.
