ENA Economy 2026-02-17 13:34:46 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Feb 17 (KNN)</strong> Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday announced that India will soon launch a Create in India Mission aimed at strengthening the countrys Orange Economy and positioning it as the worlds preferred creative hub.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Speaking at the AI Impact Summit 2026, Vaishnaw said the initiative will be industry-oriented, employment-focused and future-ready, designed to power Indias growth trajectory over the next 25 years, reported The Economic Times.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Very soon, we will be launching a Create in India Mission. Like the semiconductor mission, it will also be a very industry-oriented, employment-oriented and future-oriented mission, he said.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The minister highlighted that Indias rapidly expanding creator economy is being driven by strong digital public infrastructure and a skilled workforce. In a post on social media platform X, he noted that AI-led upskilling is helping build a future-ready talent pipeline for the global media industry.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">According to Vaishnaw, the mission will focus on strengthening existing creative capabilities, positioning India as the most preferred global platform for content creation, and developing a sustained talent pipeline to support long-term growth.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Referring to announcements in the Union Budget 2026, the minister said content creator labs will be established in 15,000 schools across the country with industry support. Drawing parallels with semiconductor initiatives in higher education institutions, he said similar efforts will expand AI-focused learning opportunities.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He added that the government is placing strong emphasis on AI diffusion and adoption to ensure productivity gains not only in creative industries but across sectors.
