NCEL Exports Cooperative Products Worth Rs 5,731 Crore To 29 Countries: Government

ENA Sectors 2026-03-12 14:00:16 New Delhi, Mar 12 (KNN) The National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL) has exported 54 different cooperative products to 29 countries, with total exports valued at Rs 5,731 crore since its inception, Union Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah informed Parliament. NCEL Expands Global Market Linkages The minister said NCEL has undertaken several initiatives to promote the marketing and global reach of cooperative products. These include the development of market linkages in 29 countries, signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with foreign agencies and countries for exporting cooperative goods, and partnerships with Export Promotion Councils, Boards and cooperative organisations to facilitate exports. To strengthen sector-specific exports, NCEL has also established dedicated Fruits and Vegetables as well as Grains and Spices divisions. The organisation is additionally functioning as a merchant exporter for aquaculture and shrimp, supporting cooperatives in accessing international markets. Market Diversification And Digital Support NCEL has also been actively promoting cooperative products through participation in exhibitions and buyer seller meets in global markets. As part of digital initiatives, the organisation is developing a multilingual AI-enabled digital learning platform for farmers to enhance awareness and export readiness. Looking ahead, the government said the strategy for expanding cooperative exports includes diversifying products and expanding markets in East and West Africa, Europe, the UAE and selected Asian countries.
