New Delhi, Mar 13 (KNN) The government has launched an Export Promotion Mission with a total outlay of Rs 25,060 crore to strengthen Indias export ecosystem with particular focus on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh said.

In a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha, the Minister said the export mission is aimed at improving access to finance and enhancing global market footprint.

He noted that the mission aims to create a comprehensive, flexible and digitally driven framework for export promotion.

The export promotion mission is being implemented through two integrated sub-schemes—Niryat Protsahan and Niryat Disha—designed to address both financial and non-financial barriers faced by exporters.

The Niryat Protsahan component focuses on improving access to affordable trade finance for MSME exporters. It includes measures such as interest subvention, export factoring, collateral guarantees, credit cards for e-commerce exporters and credit enhancement support to help businesses expand into new markets.

The second component, Niryat Disha, targets non-financial enablers aimed at strengthening export readiness and competitiveness. These measures include support for export quality and compliance, assistance for international branding and packaging, participation in global trade fairs, development of export warehousing and logistics infrastructure, as well as trade intelligence and capacity-building programmes.

The mission forms part of the governments broader strategy to strengthen Indias export performance and improve the global competitiveness of key sectors, including textiles and apparel.

(KNN Bureau)
