150 firms listed with Emerge - NSE’s SME platform-raise Rs 2,221 crore

New Delhi, May 16 (KNN) With growing active participation of investors on SME Exchange platforms, the number of listed firms on NSE’s small and medium enterprise (SME) platform ‘Emerge’ has touched 150- mark and have raised a total amount of Rs 2,221 crore so far, said National Stock Exchange (NSE) spokesperson.

There are two more firms waiting to get listed with the bourse - E2E Network and 5 Core Electronics- which are likely to get listed next week.

Few more companies are expected to join the exchange in coming months as slew of firms have lined up their share-sale plans, NSE spokesperson has said.

Out of these 150 listed firms, 3 firms have now been moved to main board and rest 147 firms with market valuation of Rs 12,400 crore are listed on the platform.

The 150 companies listed on the NSE platform belong to a wide range of sectors like logistics services, media, automotive components, pharma, infrastructure and hospitality.

Some of the key benefits that one gets with the listing on SME platform includes’ governance structures, capital access for expansion, improved credit rating, easy finances and branding.

Funds raised through the issues were used for business expansion plans, working capital requirements and other general corporate purposes.
