SIDBI & ISTSL supporting MSMEs through End-to-End Energy Efficiency scheme

New Delhi, Sep 12 (KNN) Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) jointly with India SME Technology Services Ltd. (ISTSL) is helping MSME units through End-to-End Energy Efficiency (4E) scheme, which has been developed with the help of World Bank.

The main objective of the 4E scheme is to support MSME units reducing the power & fuel cost and to help upgrade existing technologies and to Install Solar Roof Top PV or Solar Thermal systems.

Under 4E scheme, MSME unit has to pay only Rs. 30,000/- + applicable taxes and the balance part of the fee will be paid by SIDBI to auditors.

ISTSL, a Joint Venture of Small Industries Development Bank of India, State Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Indian Bank & Oriental Bank of Commerce, ensures the quality & performance of the energy audit completely through its experience in this space being Grade-2 ESCO certified with BEE and MNRE registered Government Firm for Solar Roof Top Grid Connected Systems.

It also envisages better profitability by reduction in the plant's electricity and fuel cost by 10 -25%.

It would help avail best available customized Financing Scheme (For retrofits / New equipment installation / expansion of the unit / Solar PV / Solar Water Heaters and get loan amount upto 90% of the project cost by SIDBI.

Under the 4E Scheme, ISTSL would help the MSME get loan of minimum Rs. 10 lakh and maximum upto Rs. 150 lakh with 2.05 to 3.85% concession in interest rate on Loan as per credit rating.

The MSMEs in the manufacturing as well as services sector would be eligible for the scheme. The unit should be in operation for atleast three years.

The loan repayment of upto Rs 100 lakh can be done in 36 months while for Rs 150 lakh can be done in 60 months including initial moratorium period upto 6 months. (KNN Bureau)
