New Delhi, Aug 20 (KNN) The President of India Ram Nath Kovind along with the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra visited Apiary in the President’s Estate earlier today on the occasion of World Honey Bee Day.

The Apiary has been established in the President’s Estate in association with the Khadi and Village Industries (KVIC) under the MSME Ministry.

It was established in a bid to promote the Honey Bee Mission in the country. At present the area houses over 200 bee boxes, 300 more boxes are to be places soon.

The breeding of bees in the estate is expected to produce high quality honey, wax, pollen and will also increase the overall flora and fauna in the Rashtrapati Bhawan. (KNN/ DA)
