Afghanistan to invite Indian investors in the traditional Afghani carpet industry

New Delhi, Sept 1 (KNN) In a bid to revive the carpet industry in Afghanistan, Afghani delegations will be travelling to New Delhi to offer Indian businessmen opportunities to come and invest in Afghanistan.
Khanjan Alokozay, Deputy Head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) in a press interview said that his country’s carpet industry is in desperate need of fresh investments.
ACCI will be trying its best to attract the Indian investors towards the Afghan carpet industry.
According to the data, carpet production in Afghanistan has dropped significantly with a loss of market, investments as well as exports.
Also Afghanistan business delegation will be holding talks with the Indian government batting for a free market for the Afghanistan made carpet in India.
The discussions between the delegation from Afghanistan and the investors-government of India will be during the upcoming India-Afghanistan Trade and Investment Show to be held on September 27-30 in New Delhi.
The event is being seen as a crucial step towards increasing trade relations between the two countries in different sectors. (KNN/ DA)
