China based apparel firm files case against Apple for copyright infringement

New Delhi, Dec 27 (KNN) China based clothing enterprise KON in a recent engagement has filed a lawsuit against tech giant Apple under the aegis of copyright infringement.

KON in the suit has claimed that Apple’s logo that it uses for its official App store is a replica of the clothing firm logo. In this regard, the clothing firm is demanding a monetary compensation of over 15,000 dollars along with a public apology from Apple.

Both KON and Apple’s app store logo are of a triangular design, responding to which KON claimed that they look almost same if seen by an untrained eye.

KON is a Beijing based clothing company with a vibrant consumer base including youths.

The law suit by the firm is accepted at the Dongcheng District People’s Court in Beijing and the plea is under review. (KNN/ DA)
