FISME sending large MSME delegation to TIMTOS, Taiwan

New Delhi, Jan 13 (KNN) The Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME), the apex body for MSME Associations in the country, is taking a 40 member delegation to Taiwan for the Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS).

TIMTOS, being organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council & Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, is one of the largest exhibitions in Taiwan with close to 5000 booths.

The 26th Taipei International Machine Tool Show will be held from March 7-12, 2017. As many as 21 countries are participating at the event.

The Delegation would be visiting Taiwan from March 6-10, 2017. MSME entrepreneurs from sectors such as Machine Tools, Engineering Products, and Component Manufacturers are a part of the delegation.

They hail from cities across India including Pitampur, Hyderabad, Delhi, Faridabad, Kannur, Salem, Namakkal, Kolkata, Rohtak, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kanpur, Belgaum etc.

FISME is leading the delegation to Taiwan, world's Fifth-Largest Exporter of Machine Tools, to help them source latest technologies and machines to enhance their business activities.

The industry body has previously taken three more delegations to Taiwan for attending – MTDUO, Taipei Plas and TIMTOS 2015.

Mukesh Kalra, Joint Secretary, FISME, who will be leading the delegation said, “Taiwan is amongst world’s best producers of Machine Tools. India’s MSME sector is growing rapidly for which they need latest technology and machines. The MSME members are very keen to visit TIMTOS. Earlier also, the delegations actively got engaged with the exhibitors in Taiwan to buy tools and machines according to their needs.”

Taiwan has averaged $4 billion in machine tool and accessory exports per year for the last three years. In 2015, nearly 80 percent of the country's total machine tool output was exported to 138 countries worldwide.

Some of the machines to be exhibited at TIMTOS include – Laser Punching Machines, Welding, Vibration Grinding, Surface Treatment Equipment, Tube & Wire Processing, Machine Tool Parts/ Accessories Tools, Metal Forming Machinery, Casting and Forging, Metal Cutting Machine Tools, etc.
