India-Rwanda Innovation Growth Program invites Indian tech entrepreneurs

New Delhi, July 4 (KNN) Eyeing at fostering bilateral relations between India and Rwanda through Science- technology and innovation, the India-Rwanda Innovation Growth Program (IRIGP) was launched earlier this year.
As a part of the initial phase of the program in which IRIGP will deploy 20 Indian technologies and innovations in Rwanda, the IRIGP is inviting applications from the Indian techno entrepreneurs.
The program was announced during the visit of the Indian President to Rwanda in February and works on a phase by phase implementation. During the first phase of 2 years, the IRIGP will invite Indian Tech and Innovation Entrepreneurs through B2B and B2G ventures to stimulate economic impact in the African country.
This will be followed by facilitating an ecosystem for the Rwandan industry. It on the other hand is expected to create market for Indian innovators.
Talking to KNN, Mohan Suresh, Consul General of Republic of Rwanda expressed enthusiasm over the India-Rwanda Innovation Growth Program. The program will prove to be instrumental for both the countries in different fields including agriculture, Healthcare, technology and innovation bringing both the countries closer.
Indian Entrepreneurs with expertise in fields such as agriculture: production and irrigation, dairy processing, food processing and packaging, healthcare, energy, water and sanitation, ceramics and leather and IT as well ICT are invited to apply.
The IRIGP is being executed jointly by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and National Industrial Research and Development Agency (NIRDA), Government of the Republic of Rwanda. Also Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is a partner in the program. (KNN/ DA)
