India-US High level delegation meet, discussions over upcoming Global Entrepreneurship on the agenda

New Delhi, Oct 3 (KNN) A high-level delegation from the Government of India and the United States met today, at NITI Aayog to discuss the proceedings of the upcoming 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit, scheduled for November.
The Summit is to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Advisor to the President, Ivanka Trump, who leads the U.S. delegation.
Niti Aayog in a statement informed that the summit is to feature emerging entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from different countries of the world.
The Summit aims to enhance the coordination between the two countries through networking, mentoring, and workshops.
Niti Aayog further said that the summit is a vital step to empower entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, build partnerships, secure funding, and create innovative goods and services that will transform societies.
For the 2017 edition, the summit is likely to e focus on women entrepreneurs and encouraging potential women towards entrepreneurship.
Also the NITI Aayog and the U.S. Embassy are planning a series of ‘Road to GES’ events in collaboration with different agencies to generate enthusiasm and attract the attention of different stakeholders.
As part of the summit, there will be a virtual exhibition of India’s innovative prowess in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. It is also proposed to showcase India’s heritage, social entrepreneurship and craftsmanship in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Culture. (With PIB Inputs) (KNN/DA)
