Suresh Prabhu invites Swedish companies to Make in India

New Delhi, Oct 13 (KNN) Eyeing at fostering Indo-Swedish economic ties and explore new avenues of growth and innovation, Indian diplomats, attending  the Make in India: Sweden summit invited Swedish companies to come and Make in India.

The Indian delegation led by  Minister of Commerce & Industry, Suresh Prabhu  in a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven said India and Sweden must head towards a new wave of business oriented structural reforms and partnerships.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis who is a part of the delegation also attended the meeting.

Batting for his state, Fadnavis informed that there are huge business opportunities in Maharashtra and the state is looking forward to collaborate with technology providers in different fields including solid and liquid waste management.

The Indian delegation  also met  Hakan Buskhe, President of SAAB, a major Swedish company in India  and acknowledged the importance of partnership with the company.

Also SAAB expressed its interest in extending its support in different areas including up designing, engineering and manufacturing.

Inaugurating the second edition of India-Sweden Business Leaders’ Roundtable (ISBLRT) Prime Minister of Sweden said that that Indo-Swedish cooperation would positively impact the global economy at large.

The two day event Make in India:Sweden  has been organized by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. (With PIB Inputs) (KNN/AG)
