World Food India to kick off in Dubai, aims at sourcing investment, entrepreneurship

New Delhi, Aug 5 (KNN) Aiming at directing flow of investment in food processing sector of the country, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is organizing World Food India road show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

The Indian delegation for World Food India will be headed by Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Minister of State, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.

The event is being seen as an important step towards strengthening of the bilateral economic relationship between India and UAE, especially with special focus on the food processing sector.

The Indian delegation will consist of the government officials as well as players from the industry.

The delegation is expected to invite the investors along the lines of better ease of doing business opportunities in the country.

Also a similar event is scheduled in New Delhi later this year in November in which international community is being invited to India to come and explore business opportunities in food processing and allied sectors. 

The flagship project World Food India intends to provide a platform to showcase offerings and services along the food value chain including production, processing, packaging, technology, equipment, storage, logistics or retail, in a bid to attract foreign investment, entrepreneurship, innovation and expertise. (KNN/ DA)
