Kolkata, Jan 9 (KNN) IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP), in collaboration with GIZ & Steinbeis Germany, is going to organize a 4-day Workshop on ‘Managing Innovation in Small Businesses’.

The program is being organized at IIM Calcutta to promote & inculcate the spirit of innovation among entrepreneurs for rapid growth, and enhance the Innovation Management capability of Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) & Start Ups.

It would particularly assist Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) & Start Ups to not only find the ‘right idea’ to grow their business but also to improve their overall innovativeness. As entrepreneurs (SMEs & Start Ups) play a crucial role in driving economic development and create employment, this programme has been designed to help them to innovate, develop and explore feasible business models and markets to enhance the growth of their enterprises, as per the release by IIMCIP.

According to IIMCIP, the programme would provide exposure to participants to theoretical concepts as well as practical tools and techniques to generate innovative product/service ideas, validate them and manage their product development process. Further, they will get to understand essential concepts in marketing and branding, financial modelling, business model development and presentation.

This 4 day long workshop will equip the participants with practical and hands on tools to manage their own innovations. The pedagogy of the program will be based on Experiential Learning Methodology (ELM) using a blend of classroom lectures, presentations, case studies, group discussions and hands-on exercises.

It is a 4-day workshop at the IIM Calcutta Campus, Diamond Harbour Road, Joka, Kolkata-700104. The workshop will start on 30th January’2017 and end on 2nd February’2017. The last date for the registration is January 20, 2017. (KNN)
