RBI to mint Rs 350 coins to commemorate 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji

New Delhi, Mar 27 (KNN) To mark the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, RBI has announced to release Rs 350 coin soon.
The coin will be made up of Quaternary Alloy- Silver (50 per cent), Copper (40 per cent), Nickel (05 per cent), and Zinc (05 per cent).
The circumference of the coin will be 44 millimeters with Ashoka Pillar engraved on the front face of the coin.
The weight of the coin can vary from 34.65 grams to 35.35 grams and also the limited number of coins will be minted as no exact numbers have been mentioned by the RBI.
RBI in its notification said that the on the front face of the coin there will be a lion capital of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend Satyamev Jayate inscribed below, on the left corner there will be the word Bharat inscribed in Devnagari script and on the right corner word India in English.
Further it will also bear the symbol of Rupee and denominational value of Rs 350 in international Numerals right below the Lion Capital.
Also at the back of the coin, the picture of Takht Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib will be engraved and “350TH PRAKASH UTSAV OF SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI” will be written in devanagri style on the upper part of the coin and in English on the lower part of the coin.
The year “1666” and “2016” in international numerals shall be flanked on the left and right periphery of the coin," added the notification. (KNN/YV)
