New Delhi, Apr 27 (KNN) The complications involved in GST being a primary concern for many MSMEs and the doubts over whether or not the MSMEs are fully prepared for complying with the GST, industry bodies have demanded the Ministry to extend the implementation date, which otherwise is expected to be implemented from July 1^st.

Kalraj Mishra, Union Minister for MSME in an interview to KNN said that there are ongoing talks and discussions over the matter and a decision in this regard can be expected soon.

The Minister was at the launch event of the MyMSME mobile application and MSME Facilitation Council Portal.

Talking about the MyMSME app he said that the Ministry has been trying constantly to help the MSMEs grow since they are important for the economy.

“The main problem the Micro and Small units face is that of lack of information, our user friendly mobile app attempts to bridge this gap” said the Minister.

He also informed that the app allows complaint redressal. Citing the data the Minister said that so far the portal have received 43,000 complaints, out of which 30,000 complaints have already been solved.

He further asked for feedback from stakeholders so that the subsequent versions of the app and the portal can be improved. (KNN/ DA)
