IISc-MSME Centre of Excellence to organize workshop for MSMEs and Engineering Students

New Delhi, May 20 (KNN) The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) – MSME Centre of Excellence is organizing a 2-day design workshop for the Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) and the Engineering students. The 2-day workshop themed ‘Hands on Boot Camp on IoT and Innovation’ is scheduled on 20th and 31st of May at the IISc campus in Bangalore.

Talking to KNN, Ananda Murthy, Deputy Director at the IISc-MSME Centre said that the prime focus of the workshop is to explore the possibilities of developing new innovative products with assistance from IISc-MSME Centre of Excellence. The workshop is expected to encourage the MSMEs and the young engineering students to come out with innovative solutions aided with Internet of Things (IoT) to the solutions that the Indian industry faces at present.

He further informed that a specialized team of eminent professors will be conducting the sessions for the MSMEs and the students.

The IISc-MSME Center for excellence is conducting this workshop for free and no fee is being charged for the participants.

The IISc MSME Center of Excellence is an initiative started by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science with an aim to assist the MSMEs and the engineering students help innovate and implement new ideas vital for the changing dynamics of the industry.

Also the IISc-MSME Centre of Excellence is the implementing agency of the ‘Design Clinic Scheme for Design Expertise to MSME Manufacturing Sector’ implemented by the MSME Ministry. (KNN/ DA)
