MSME Ministry – GSTN to share data of registered MSMEs

New Delhi, Apr 11 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) and the Goods & Services Tax Network (GSTN) will soon sign a pact to share database of the MSMEs registered with the Udyog Aadhaar portal and on GSTN database.
Sources from the Ministry confirmed the move and told KNN, the two would be sharing data of MSMEs registered with the Udyog Aadhaar portal and that on the GST Network.
Around 44 lakh MSMEs are registered with the Udyog Aadhaar portal, while the number of MSMEs on GSTN database is around 1 crore.
An MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) is likely to be signed soon for data sharing and integration between the MSME ministry and GSTN. (KNN Bureau)
