MSME Ministry organizing awareness programme on ZED Certification Scheme in Kolkata on Nov 8

Kolkata, Oct 29 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is organizing an awareness programme on Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Certification Scheme in the city on November 8, 2016.
The programme is being jointly organized by industry body FOSMI along with MSME-DI Kolkata, Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
The objective of the programme is to create proper awareness in MSMEs about ZED Manufacturing and motivate them for assessment of their enterprises for ZED rating.
The programme will drive manufacturing with adoption of Zero Defect production processes without impacting the environment (Zero Effect).
The MSMEs would be encouraged to constantly upgrade their quality standards in products and processes and support the “Make in India” Campaign.
The MSMEs in the city have been called to participate in the programme.
There would be no participation fee for MSMEs, however participants must have Udyog Aadhaar Registration Number.
The organizers said it would be preferable if a participant is also registered with the MSME Data Bank of Government of India. (KNN Bureau)
