Small-tiny businesses thrive on marginal profits, important to attend to them: PM Modi

New Delhi, Aug 29 (KNN) The small businesses run by street vendors or small scale shops work on nominal profits, it is important for the country as a whole to change the attitude towards them, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently said.

In his address to the country on Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi made these remarks..

The Prime Minister informed that he received a call from an ordinary citizen of the country explaining the plight of the small-scale businesses and the general attitude one has towards them.

PM Modi emphasized that while the country in most of the cases is fine with spending money at the big shops and businesses in making the purchases, it is also important for the country to act generous to the small-scale vendors.

Further in his address, he also spoke of the different schemes introduced by the government to promote the business ecosystem in the country.

Listing the programs, PM Modi said that initiatives including MP Mudra Yojna, Startup India, Stand up India has enabled the youth in the country become entrepreneurs.

Also the schemes are crafted in a manner that it is made accessible to the most marginal sections of the society, the PM added. (KNN/DA)
