Jammu, July 24 (KNN) Association of Industries, Jammu, organized a seminar on Goods & Services Tax (GST) for MSMEs giving an overview with special emphasis on incentives.

GST expert CA SK Malhotra explained various provisions of the GST Act which was rolled out in J&K from July 8, 2017.

The Seminar was organised in the presence of office bearers of the association - Rajesh Jain, President, Vijay Sharma, Secretary and Sanjeev Vig, Treasurer.

The main aim to conduct the seminar was to help the MSMEs understand the altogether new concept of taxation under the GST Regime.

Malhotra delivered a detailed lecture which was followed by question and answer session.

Malhotra explained the various provisions and procedure regarding Registration, composition scheme, transition, reverse charge mechanism, input credit, etc in a very simple language.

Later, he replied to all sorts of questions raised by the industrialists.

Earlier, Rajesh Jain and Malhotra apprised the members of various initiatives being taken for getting the exemption package for Industries in J&K. (KNN Bureau)
