Bengal will soon have a Mishti Hub to exploit business potential of locally made sweets

Kolkata, Jan 13 (KNN) Recognizing the business potential of the locally made sweets in Bengal, state government is planning to launch a Mishti Hub in Burdwan in March this year.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led All India Trinamool Congress said the decision to set up the hub was taken considering the business potential of the locally made traditional sweets and it was decided to sell the sweets in small packets in all the outlets of Biswa Bangla.
The locally produced sweets will not only be sold in the Indian market but will also be marketed abroad.
On January 9, the Chief Minister announced that the proposed Mishti Hub will be inaugurated on March 14. She made the announcement from the inaugural ceremony of Mati Utsav.
Within two days after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that Mishti Hub in Burdwan will be inaugurated in the next two months, traders have started receiving orders for traditional sweets which will be prepared in the under-construction hub.
Some of the famous sweets of Bengal include Rasgulla, Sandesh, Mishti Doi, Kacha Gola and more.
