Aditya Thackeray, Chief of Shiv Sena Youth Wing, made the announcement on Sunday.
"I spoke to the BMC Commissioner and he informed me that very soon Mumbaikars are going to have a Single Window Clearance System for the entire city," said Thackeray, according to a media report.
"This is not a promise for the next election. A circular is being drafted and it would come to effect very soon," he said during his addressal at the inaugural session of India Night Convention and Awards (INCA).
Thackeray said the BMC's move will benefit both businessmen as well as common man.
Thakarey also spoke about his views on reviving the nightlife of Mumbai, for which he recently met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
"To revive the night life, I have not kept pubs and bars into my agenda, because I know it would lead to a lots of opposition. I am pitching for a vibrant nightlife in India's commercial capital," he said.
He asked why can't shopping malls, restaurants, theatres, gyms, shops, eating joints along with chemists and convenience stores be opened 24X7.
The President of National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI) Riyaaz Amlani said 67 per cent of the people involved in food and nightlife business are unorganised.
Amlani said, the government should create restaurant-based tourism hub, leverage beaches and coastlines, allow the terrace and open space for food services, ease of doing business, reduce the permissible age for drinking, extend operational hours on weekends among others.
