DGFT to hold workshop on Free Trade Agreement in Nagpur

New Delhi, Dec 11 (KNN) Eyeing at imparting information among the business community of the region including the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the office of the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, will be holding a workshop on free trade agreement in Nagpur.

The workshop is scheduled for 12th of December and will take place at Hotel Heritage from 2PM in the afternoon.  The main aim of the workshop is to inform the businesses regarding the various norms of the Foreign Trade Agreements.

DGFT further aims to address the problems that the exporters of the region have been facing.

The workshop will explore different themes including Free Trade Agreements & MoUs signed by the Government of India, Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA). Also presentations on tariff duties, anti-dumping measures, FTA negotiations and experience sharing are to feature in the workshop.

Officials from the DGFT office including Bipin Menon and Anupam Kumar will facilitate the sessions.

Also during the workshop an interactive session to explore the complications of the export sector with regard to trading across borders will be facilitated. (KNN/ DA)
