Govt. to establish 16 new industrial estates for MSMEs: Vijay Rupani

New Delhi, Oct 12 (KNN) Eyeing at facilitating thrust to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state, the Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced setting up of 16 new industrial estates across the state.
The Minister in a press interview informed that Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) will be setting up the project in 14 districts across Gujarat.
He further said that these estates will be spread over 2,460 hectares, and will comprise of 14,540 industrial plots of different sizes for micro, small and medium enterprises.
Rupani informed that this project is being implemented in an attempt to increase self-employment opportunities.
With the project in place, over 40,000 new job opportunities for the youth is expected to emerge, Rupani added
The minister also said that the estates will give boost to industrial production adding to the overall economic growth of the region.
An approximate investment of over 15,000 crores is likely to flow into the state through the establishment of these industrial parks, the minister informed.
Rupani added that as of now two proposed GIDC estates will come up in Amreli and Bhavnagar. Also there will be one such estate in different regions including Morbi, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Kutch, Surendranagar, Banaskantha, Ahmedabad, Aravalli, Dahod, Anand, Surat and Tapi. (KNN/ AG)
