Haryana govt to announce Rs 2 per unit power subsidy to MSMEs, industry welcomes decision

New Delhi, Jan 5 (KNN) In a bid to promote Haryana as an ideal destination for investment in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the state government is considering to provide power tariff subsidy of Rs 2 per unit for this industry.
This relief is to be provided to the industries situated in C & D blocks in terms of industrialization for three years from the date of release of power connection.
Talking to KNN, Rajiv Chawla, Chairman of Faridabad Small Industries Association said that the decision once implemented is certainly a positive one for the industries of the state.
Chawla informed that the industry had been engaged in continuous dialogue with the government for quite some time demanding incentive-subsidy along the line.
He further informed that apart from the power subsidy demand, the industry is also looking towards the government to consider additional perks to the unit operating in the night shifts.
While an implementation order is yet to come for the same, Chawla informed that the decision comes as a good step towards the promotion of MSMEs in Haryana, and will definitely add both to growth as well as to employment generation. (KNN/MG)
