IEDO-NIMSME sign pact to take research activities on issues related to MSMEs in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Oct 14 (KNN) Odisha government is all set to resolve the issues relating to the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development-Odisha (IEDO) has signed a pact with NIMSME, Hyderabad, to take up research activities on this.
According to a media report, the state government has agreed for MoU between the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development-Odisha (IEDO) and NIMSME. Under the pact research activities will be taken for the MSMEs and the state will be benefited immensely
NIMSME is a national level institute under the Ministry of MSME that works on various issues relating to MSME research studies and training to district industries centres.
The media report quoted Samarendera Sahu, director general of IEDO as saying, “The IEDO will get a grant of Rs 2.5 crore for physical infrastructure, capacity building under the Assistance to Training Institution Scheme of Union ministry of MSME. Apart from undertaking research activities, entrepreneurship development institute will also work for providing training and capacity building to MSMEs, especially for micro enterprises.”
With the pact IEDO can run national and international training programmes with the strengthening of infrastructure, he added.
